Recommended Packing List
Summer at Tufts can be quite warm but mornings, evenings and air-conditioned settings can often require layered clothing. When packing, remember you will need a combination of easy, summer clothing (shorts and t-shirts) AND attire that is appropriate for more formal functions like presenting projects or evening dances. Bedding & towels are provided, laundry facilities are available in the dorm, and program staff can help if you forget something!
We have tried to include all of the big items you may need while staying with us! But don’t forget to think about what makes you most comfortable and what you need for travel, study, and fun. These are not comprehensive and are recommendations, not requirements!

Do Not Bring
You may not bring pets, any cooking devices, air conditioners, mini-fridges, candles, or motor vehicles to campus as a residential student.
Spending Money
Students will have access to the Tufts dining halls and are encouraged to eat all meals there. All program activities and excursions are included in tuition so the need for spending money is minimal. However, if students would like to make purchases at the Tufts Bookstore they may do so! Students will have the opportunity to dine at local restaurants or purchase from local shops. If a student would like to do this, spending money may be necessary.
Students who wish to use washers and dryers will need to add money via JumboCash to their ID cards. You can do this here. JumboCash can also be used at selected off-campus locations. We recommend adding small amounts of JumboCash at a time as this money can not be withdrawn at the end of the program.
Program Materials
If your course requires text books and you are purchasing them in advance, don’t forget to bring them with you!
