Tufts Essentials of Marketing for a Changing World is a two-week immersive experience for high school students interested in learning marketing concepts and strategy that they can apply to their own lives and future careers. The Adventures in Veterinary Medicine High School Program is an engaging and fun way for high school students to spend two weeks learning more about the veterinary profession. This is your opportunity to dig into veterinary medicine through an exciting and intensive program where you’ll be surrounded by others who share your passion for animals, health, and science.

• Explore specialty fields and important topics in veterinary medicine through informative lectures by Tufts faculty, staff, and vet students.
• See what it’s really like to be a vet as you shadow fourth-year veterinary students in the Foster Hospital for Small Animals, the Hospital for Large Animals, or the Tufts Wildlife Clinic.
• Get up close and personal with the animals on the Cummings School Farm while learning proper animal handling techniques and performing physical examinations.
• Build your vet skills! Practice bandaging and suturing, learn how to read x-rays, give a clinical exam to a dog, and work as a team to solve a challenging medical case.
• Participate in hematology and anatomy labs, meet various working animals, visit a dairy farm, and more!

Are you interested in a laboratory- based experience where you contribute to a research project that studies a critical societal challenge?

In the Tufts Lab Science Investigations: Antimicrobial Resistance, you will become a researcher working to understand the challenge of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and antibiotic stewardship. As a student researcher in Lab Science Investigations: Antimicrobial Resistance, you will have a uniquely immersive experience with the One Health approach that recognizes that the health of people is closely connected to the health of animals and our shared environment.

Immerse yourself in life as a college student, while studying at Tufts University!  Enroll in 2 college-level seminars, designed specifically for high school students, and gain experience with the excitement, freedom, and challenge of academics at a top-tier higher education institution. Students may enroll in 1 or 2 two-week sessions.

The Tufts Entrepreneurship and Innovation Bootcamp is a two-week-long immersive experience for high school students interested in learning how to solve big societal problems through new venture creation. This bootcamp is an in-person, synchronous experiential learning experience open to students all over the world. No prior entrepreneurial experience is necessary – all that’s needed is a drive to make a difference and have impact in the world.  

Engineering Investigations will provide students with an overview of the different disciplines within engineering to broaden their understanding of the field and highlight the multiple ways engineers work and impact the world. Participants will hear from researchers, students, and industry professionals about their work in research, design, and entrepreneurship. In addition, participants will be engaged in learning methods and approaches for engineering design, exploring engineering ethics and its intersections with ethics and social justice, and applying these ideas through hands-on projects.

Engineering design is the practical application of the science and theory of engineering to the needs of the real world. In this program, you'll examine the "how" and "why" of engineering problems and projects—the best way to understand how engineering actually works. Take part in team-based projects in our new state-of-the-art maker space. Plus, hear from expert faculty and guest speakers who are leaders in their fields, make new friends, and experience life on and off the Tufts campus.

Mini Med School is for driven students who are interested in medical school or in other health professions. Our programs present the opportunity for you to study with one of the nation's leading medical institutions—Tufts University School of Medicine—either on-campus or from your home! Whether you choose to participate virtually or in person, your experience with Tufts this summer will prepare you for your prospective future in the medical world.

Mini Med School is taught by medical students and faculty, primarily from Tufts University. While the programs focus on infectious disease and immunology, other topics covered include anatomy, surgery, diversity in medicine, and career guidance.

What does the future of coding look like, and how can you contribute? You'll find out in this exciting summer program, which is open to students of all skill levels. Solve real-world problems in hands-on coding and skills building sessions, hear exciting guest lectures from experts in the field, and collaborate with your team on a final coding project. In line with SMFA at Tufts’ approach to interdisciplinary art making, the Pre-College Studio Art Intensive allows you to work with new materials, deepen your experience with familiar mediums, and develop conceptually sophisticated work.

Explore the exciting field of graphic design with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University faculty. Spend a week this summer diving into the Adobe Creative Cloud software tools, hearing from professional graphic designers, and exploring the intersection of liberal arts and art education.

This is your chance to analyze global issues with esteemed faculty from the Tufts School of Arts and Sciences and The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Immerse yourself in intensive, college-level foreign language training while studying subjects such as international economics, cybersecurity, and foreign policy. Outside the classroom, join fellow students for social events, tours of area universities, and an international relations simulation at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate.

Plus, engage with and learn from Tufts faculty and community leaders who are making their mark in the civic realm.

Students will apply an interdisciplinary case-study approach to the social, ecological, and political facets of contemporary environmental issues; learn the principles and key concepts of environmental change and resilience from experts in many fields; and gain hands-on knowledge of techniques for environmental data collection, analysis and visualization.
