An introduction to ethnomusicology, the study of music in human life. The anthropological view of music as a response to the natural environment and social experience. Comparative methods using case studies from diverse world traditions.
Basic Enrollment Requirements: Unofficial Transcript – Bachelor’s Degree or progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree + 3.0 GPA. Requires: CSHD 1 or PSY 1.
Instructor Approval: Not required
Remission Eligible: Yes; first day of term; all university policies apply
