Course Description

In this course, we will look at the different nutrition-sensitive interventions to address the underlying causes of malnutrition. Interventions affecting nutrition outcomes can be in multiple sectors, such as agriculture, early childhood development, education, water and sanitation, health systems, as well as social safety nets and poverty alleviation. At the end of the course, students will gain an understanding of the design and implementation, as well as opportunities and challenges of such interventions; be able to explain how nutrition-sensitive programs can integrate and promote nutrition as a goal of multiple sectors and contribute to achieving national development.
