Course Description

An introduction to the public health approach is provided. The epidemiological model of the disease process is used to study a variety of infectious and noninfectious diseases. The wide variety of non-medical approaches to disease control is emphasized. The public health aspects of vital statistics, evaluation, and administrative decision making are introduced and applied to current problems in public health. 

Basic Enrollment Requirements: 

Academic Year (Fall/Spring): Unofficial Transcript – High School Diploma or current high school transcript (for high school students only in applicable classes), Bachelor’s Degree, or progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree + 3.0 GPA.

Summer: None.
