Course Description

This course will examine a social psychological perspective on stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination where we will examine implications for social perception and social experience for individuals' thoughts, behavior, and outcomes. We will explore and discuss original research studies in intergroup relations that shed light on potential ways to address discrimination. This course will include lecture-based content, peer and group discussions, an understanding of psychological science, and a final project for students to design a study.

Hybrid: This is a hybrid course that has both virtual components delivered online and in-person opportunities. It is possible for students to participate exclusively virtually in hybrid courses and programs. Upon registering, you will be prompted to select whether you will be participating virtually or in person. This section is reserved for high school students who are rising 10th, 11th or 12th grade students. High School students will be prompted to submit an additional application after enrollment including: a high school transcript, letter of recommendation, parental permission, and other required consent forms.
