Phenomenology & Existentialism

Course Description

A survey of twentieth-century continental philosophy, including works by Husserl, Heidegger, Sartre, and Merleau-Ponty. Classical transcendental phenomenology and its critics, existentialism as an ethical doctrine and its cultural influence.Recommendations:2 philosophy courses or consent.Recommendations: PHIL 1, junior standing, or permission of instructor.

Basic Enrollment Requirements: Unofficial Transcript – Bachelor’s Degree or progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree + 3.0 GPA.
