Course Description
This course covers basic epidemiologic methods and concepts, including study design, calculation and interpretation of basic measures of disease frequency and measures of effect, sources of inaccuracy in experimental and observational studies, causal inference, and an introduction to the statistical evaluation and interpretation of epidemiological data. Students will discuss past and recent publications in order to apply their understanding of abstract concepts and specific quantitative methods to the interpretation and critique of published work.
Basic Enrollment Requirements: Unofficial Transcript - Bachelor's + 3.0 GPA.
Pre-requisite: NUTC 0202: Principles of Nutrition Science or an equivalent course.
