Course Description
Essential skills needed to bridge language barriers in healthcare settings. Specialized vocabulary and cultural awareness for communication between healthcare professionals and Portuguese-speaking patients. Medical terminology, ethical considerations, and practical techniques of interpretation, blending theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice. Prerequisites: POR 21, POR 22, or instructor permission. In Portuguese.
Basic Enrollment Requirements: Unofficial Transcript – Bachelor’s Degree or progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree + 3.0 GPA.
