Landscape in a Day: Learning to See the World - W
PAIC 0037W - W
Have you ever wanted to paint the beautiful places you experience? Painting the landscape is worth more than any snapshot. To paint the landscape, we must first learn to see the landscape. This workshop offers not only the tools to successfully render a landscape in your chosen media but how to see it as you have never seen it before.
The landscape will be explored as a means of expressing our contemporary world via realism, metaphor and abstraction. Landscape painting is an innately pluralist exercise: it presents us with a range of possible approaches and perspectives by which to analyze not only places, but also their contexts. In this workshop, we will explore the landscape as a means of expressing our contemporary world via realism, metaphor and abstraction. You will have the opportunity to learn the groundwork for a successful landscape painting and the freedom to build on this throughout the semester. This is a fantastic opportunity for all ranges of students from first timers to more advanced students to showcase their world.
