Course Description

In this six week course, we will view a different Katharine Hepburn film each session. The films we will be viewing are Bringing Up Baby (1938), The Philadelphia Story (1940), The African Queen (1951), A Long Day’s Journey Into Night (1962), Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (1967), and Lion In Winter (1968). After each film screening, students will partake in small group discussions held in breakout rooms to discuss drafted questions that highlight unique topics and aspects of the film. We will then regroup to exchange the various views and perspectives expressed. Be prepared to be entertained!
