Course Description
Introduces Geographical Information Systems (GIS) theory, methods and their applications. Topics include GIS data structures, geodesy, cartography and spatial analysis using raster and vector data formats. Includes extensive laboratory exercises that apply concepts presented in the lectures using ArcGIS Pro software. The course will include a final project where students apply GIS to a topic of their own interest.
Basic Enrollment Requirements:
Academic Year (Fall/Spring): Unofficial Transcript - Bachelor's + 3.0 GPA.
Summer: None.
