This course will integrate the basic concepts in immunology and vaccinology with modern vaccine technologies to learn how vaccines are developed to provide solutions to stopping the scourge of the infectious disease such as COVID-19. The course has three modules based on the selected topics to introduce: i) the molecular and cellular basis of the immune system, ii) the basic principles of vaccine design and development, and iii) the applications of new vaccine technologies in the fight against COVID-19.
