Global Food & Nutrition Policy

Course Description

The Global Food and Nutrition Policy course is designed to introduce students to US and global nutrition policy, to key players within the US and international/global landscape, current initiatives, debates and discussions in nutrition policy, typologies of policy initiatives, successful flagship interventions, successful dietary guidance systems and multi sector approaches to addressing food insecurity and nutrition. Prerequisite: NUTC/NUTR 0202: Principles of Nutrition Science or general nutrition equivalent or instructor consent. 

Basic Enrollment Requirements: Unofficial Transcript - Bachelor's + 3.0 GPA. You will be contacted after registration for required evidence of immunization. 

Instructor Approval: During registration, you will be asked to explain how you meet the pre-requisites for this course and to describe any relevant experience. The instructor will use this information to confirm your enrollment or will otherwise be in touch with you.
