Course Description

Introduction to game theory and how it is used to understand strategic interactions among individuals, firms, governments, and countries. Topics include credible threats, signaling, principal-agent problems, auctions, arbitration, voting, implications of asymmetric and incomplete information and collusion. Not open to students who have taken or are currently taking EC 119 or its equivalent.Prerequisites: Economics 5 or Economics 8.
