Creative Writing: Poetry

Course Description

Introductory practice and instruction in a poetry workshop setting. Includes focus on free verse; traditional forms and formal experiment; supported and independent generative writing; and written and oral critiques of assignments. Prerequisites: ENG 1 and 2 or completion of the College Writing Requirement.

Basic Enrollment Requirements: 

Academic Year (Fall/Spring): Unofficial Transcript – High School Diploma or current high school transcript (for high school students only in applicable classes), Bachelor’s Degree, or progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree + 3.0 GPA.

Summer: None.
