Course Description

Theory, research, and practice focusing on emotionally supporting hospitalized youth and their families . Interventions aimed at improving adjustment to chronic, acute, and life-threatening illnesses in pediatrics. Approaches include therapeutic play, expressive arts, behaviorism, medical education, and bereavement counseling. Prerequisites include: Child Development 1 and Junior, Senior, or Graduate standing.
