Course Description

In-depth review of contemporary language with emphasis on grammar usage and specificity of expression through analysis of written and spoken French and regular in-class exercises. Readings include critical, cultural and historical materials as well as two novels from the French-speaking world. Active class participation is essential. Not for native speakers or for majors who have studied in French-speaking countries. Recommendations: French 21 and 22, or consent.
