The Tufts in Talloires Program is a unique opportunity to explore Tufts courses through an international lens. During the course of a three-week intensive session, students will have the opportunity to take one credit-bearing Tufts course taught in English by Tufts faculty, and an additional course exploring French culture and society offered by the European Center staff. Guest lecturers and virtual visits will enhance each course and engage voices from around the world, and the supplemental culture course will provide a window to French history and daily life. The program will also include a range of community activities and opportunities for connection online, outside of coursework.

The Tufts Summit program is designed to offer a select group of rising high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to take a non-credit, college-level course on International Relations while being immersed in French language and culture. In Summer 2021, students will be able to experience this program from any location as we engage in a virtual format! This three-week virtual program will include two courses: International Relations in a Changing World and La Langue et La Culture Française, both taught by instructors who bring enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of their individual fields into the classroom. Beyond their courses, students will also participate in international diplomacy simulations.

Tufts in Annecy

Due to its unique site-specific nature, the Tufts in Annecy program has been canceled for Summer 2021.

The Tufts in Annecy program offers university students an opportunity to improve their beginner or intermediate French language skills in a very inspiring environment.  Classes are taught at a French language Institute in Annecy, located just a few miles north of Talloires, by native French speakers who are experts in developing speaking listening, grammar, writing and reading skills.  Tufts in Annecy offers students credits for Tufts French 1, 2, 3, OR 4 class. Please consult the Tufts European Center website for complete updates on all programs for Summer 2021.
