Courses at Tufts for High Schoolers + Tufts Research Experience (academic year)
Please note: We are unable to offer health and wellness services for Courses at Tufts for High Schoolers or Tufts Research Experience (academic year) students at this time. In the case of a minor illness or injury, the students' emergency contact will be called. In the case of an emergency, Tufts University Police (Tufts' first responders) will be called as well as the students' emergency contact.
All Other Programs
Urgent care services: Tufts Health Services is available to all summer students and visitors for non-emergency urgent care situations only by appointment or on a walk-in basis. All health services are fee-for-service. There will be a fee for each visit and there may be additional charges for lab tests, etc. Most individual programs will collect health information as a part of their enrollment materials. Please note that any medical fees incurred will be billed by Tufts Health Services to the student and are not included in program fees.
For emergency medical care, acute illness, or injury: students will be transported to one of the many hospitals in Boston, depending on where they are at the time of injury and the severity of the injury. Please note that any hospital or transportation charges incurred will be billed by the service provider to the student and are not included in program fees.

For counseling and mental health: summer students and visitors should be aware that routine and ongoing counseling services are not provided, and it is necessary that arrangements be made for off-campus mental health support if this is needed while on campus. Tufts Counseling and Mental Health Service (CMHS) is available for referrals to outside providers if necessary. Please note that any counseling and mental health-related fees and related transportation costs will be billed by the service provider to the student and are not included in program fees.
